What can I do through HYPE?

HYPE offers members plenty of ways to get involved, but the first step is up to YOU! Check out one of our committees and get involved in planning a project, bringing in a great speaker, putting on a great party and more.  Below are just a few of our great ideas...  Join us for a meeting and put your own ideas into action!

Community

Are you a chronic do-gooder?  Just enjoy helping other people?  The community committee needs you to help us plan up to four volunteer activities per year.  Some of the projects we've worked on in the past include landscaping at a Habitat home, painting at a homeless shelter and running a Volunteer Speed Match event to connect our outstanding membership with some pretty incredible service organizations in Miami County.

We need your great ideas! For more information, contact Justin Kratzmeyer at hypenmvcommunity@gmail.com.

Marketing

Get noticed!  Or at least help HYPE get noticed...

Members of the marketing committee will put together press releases about upcoming events, work with local newspapers, help with flyer design, post information via Facebook, wear sandwich boards along I-75, get us on the radio, collect information for the weekly e-newsletter and more.  Okay, so maybe you won't wear sandwich boards, but you get the idea.

No regular meeting date and time has been set, so tell us when YOU want to meet.  Contact Shelley Warner at hypenmvmarketing@gmail.com for more information on this committee.

Membership

Help HYPE create an exciting experience for every member from start to finish. Whether a person is first expressing interest in our group through their involvement as a casual event attendee or someone is moving up through our committees as a leader, we need your help in creating an experience that communicates the value of HYPE membership.

Our goals are to make sure we are meeting the needs and wants of our membership, as their voice, within our HYPE mission of social opportunities, professional development, and community involvement. Help us increase our overall event attendance, identify new opportunities for members to get involved and more.

All members of HYPE are welcome to share ideas!  For more information, contact Kristy Warren at hypenmvmembership@gmail.com

Professional Development

Do you know of a great speaker you think other young professionals need to hear?

Got a topic or a personal interest you've just been itchin' to attend a learning seminar on?

Looking for a way to have a real impact on the future of young professionals in the area?

Then the HYPE Professional Development Committee wants YOU!

Through targeted Professional Development activities, HYPE aims to support the business, personal and cultural skills, relationships and experiences of its members.  Opportunities range from panel discussions with local personalities to leadership development to arts and entertainment.  Programs are open to members and non-members for a nominal registration fee.

Contact this committee at hypenmvprofessional@gmail.com if you're interested in more information!

Social

Whether you've been accused of being a social butterfly or you're looking to expand your circle of friends, the social committee needs your help in planning a variety of activities for HYPE members.  Upcoming events might include our regular Third Thursday happy hours, canoe trips, participation in sports leagues, monthly lunches or anything else you might like to set up.
